Haven't been here in a while. Life has been full between work family responsibilities and my little cabin. But life has been good and I continue in recovery.
I recently starting dating a man. He is nice and considerate, kind of quirky. We have a great intellectual connection and certainly a basis for developing a friendship. Whether it turns romantic or not I don't know. I am not addicted or triggered in anyway thus far and I am attracted to him which is a great combination.
So my question is this, when and how and how much do I tell him about my addiction? Right now is out of the question we are just getting to know one another but I also feel it is a significant part of who I was and who I have become through working my program.
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
I have to say it is good to know that the past is in the past, my POA is in the past, that relationship and a lot of need to look outside myself is in the past. I am grateful for that.
Also grateful for any help.
