Why do we put up "roadblocks" intead of "recovery"? Is it out of some deep seated fear? Or fear of change? Why would you not want to recover and learn new "coping skills"? On how to deal with "life on life's terms"? Here is a link: www.psychcentral.com/lib/2010/10-ways-to-motivation.

That link doesn't work LML. In my life I have noticed self-sabotage. I was always suspicious that I was up to something and this year I really sprung myself. I had a computer that I hadn't set up properly that I felt bad about, I hadn't worked out how to properly use an important piece of equipment I use in my business, sometimes I didn't call people back, I let my website go offline, I didn't leave enough time to get places I needed to be on time and organised, the list went on and on.
It wasn't happening all the time, but with regularity. I was actively sabotaging my chances of success. As I noticed it I felt sad. I did self-enquiry on it. I sat with it in my mind and stopped beating myself up for the consequences of it.
It is changing, and I am becoming more successful, in my work and in my happiness levels. I still obsess about men. But I am way less likely to self-sabotage nowdays. Recovery works.

Thanks for letting me know the link did not work...I just googled it, and put that in my search engine, or you can put www. in front of the address.
I will check it tomorrow when i am on my laptop...
Yes I just to self-sabotage alot, and it caused me alot of issues as well, I guess when I was drinking, I thought I was a mind reader as well...lol I would assume I was going to get fired, so I would save them the trouble and just quit...no coping skills at all...now I am much better...and I have just had to accept things as they are, and try and not get my feelings hurt...

Wow LML, you would just quit. That's so wild. I don't think I've done that, however I've quit before I ever started! I'm glad you are learning how to accept what is. Next step, Loving what is!
