The book Women Who Run with the Wolves by Estes is a brilliant book, but it took me a whole summer to study it. For non-readers there is now a really nice facebook account.

The introduction was to esoteric for me. But the stories about the power of women in the ancient myths astounded me. It elevated my self-esteem and made me proud to be a woman.

I know realize that the modern concept of individuality works against self-esteem in women. A community of women changes that. This is why AA helped me more than therapy. So run in a pack for awhile.

I could relate to so many of the stories. Excellent read.
