Imagine what we could all be doing with our lives, time, and talent if we weren't wasting mental energy on being addicted/obsessed with a hopeless or toxic situation? Think about your talents and dreams and what you could do with those if your energy into that. We miss out so much on what ELSE life has to offer.

You said it!!! This is a concept that oftentimes wakes me up at night. All the time I've wasted and continue to waste. And what makes matters worse is that my 16-year-old son is now exhibiting the same exact qualities as me when I was his age. Dreaming his life away on a girl that isn't interested in him, getting bad grades, sleeping all weekend, unmotivated, etc. I get so angry with him that I yell, "You need to think of your future! You need to do your work! Stop wasting your life away!" Really, I am yelling at myself. My old self and my new self. Change takes persistence. It takes confidence, self-esteem, tons of endorphins and help from friends. Let's keep working together as a team to help each other out and motive each other to stop wasting our mental energy. Thanks for the reminder!
