From Susan . . . Please log in to post. I tried to send you a message and your profile was locked. There is a solution to your problem . . . Optimism, positive thinking, reaching out to someone in worse shape, inspirational books, songs, tapes, patience. The most important of these is positive thinking. I wrote this when I was gloomy back in 1982, long before I realized our recovery goal is to be whole. A Brighter Tomorrow
Life may take a downward spiral, And overwhelm us for awhile.
Pain may seem a way of life; Endless moments filled with strife.
Gloom may settle in our soul, Splitting that which once was whole.
And yet despite this painful rift, There still exists a timeless gift.
The saving grace when all is gray, The promise of a brand new day.

Hi there maddys mom,
I am sorry if I offended you. I made the mistake of approaching you too strongly. I hope though you were able to find the comfort you were looking for from others here.
You are welcome to comeback anytime you may wish. Sometimes things can get better the second time around. Nonetheless, we are wishing you well wherever you may be.
Take Care

hi! Disappointment is a profound way in which sadness is experienced. People seem to do whatever they can to avoid recognizing that they are disappointed and will twist their thinking every which way to not recognize a true disappointment. You may be disappointed in a parent, your child, your spouse, a lover, an employer or job, an event, or in yourself. In any case, disappointment is the experience of sadness involving unfulfilled hopes or expectations.
