Ask my inner child? Well.. I can't. She still wants to believe in the goodness of people, in the healing power of love.. See? She loves the wrong people for ever. She has no concept of boundaries. She wants to make everybody happy. I cannot trust her unfortunately. Not yet.
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. Isaiah 11:6 ► New International Version
My dear friend. This breaks my heart. Your description of your inner child is why we keep her in our consciousness. We need to take care of her, nurture her, protect and talk to her daily. She is the one who holds the truth in her hands. She cannot lie. She sees things clearly. She is the optimist. She is Pollyanna. Life would not be worth living without her optimism and willingness to forgive. She brings balance to our fear and our cynicism. She stands between us and depression and being seduced by toxic people.
I pray that you trust and follow her in all matters except romantic love. She is too fragile to handle something so complicated and so easily used to disguise bad things.

This is so beautiful. Thank you for putting it this way. My inner child was crying a while ago. And now she feels so lifted because of this.
