Are there people here who have ADHD and love addiction? Because I am almost 99% sure that if I were to go to a therapist (can't afford it), I would be diagnosed as ADHD. Since going through excessive stress in my life for the past four years (dad's death; mom diagnosed with cancer), I have difficulty focusing on anything for more than a few minutes at a time. My mind constantly wonders when I am doing academic work, watching films, etc. Even fantasies about my PoA only last for a few minutes at a time but occur throughout the day.
I have been wondering though: could love addiction be a way for our brains to "anchor" themselves in something? Something that feels safe and nurturing but is not? I know I have and had other addictions, but love addiction is the most troubling. How common is it to be both love addicted and ADHD?
