Brighter Tomorrow I think I have to disagree. Please read "Real Boys" if you disagree. In the past, boys are taught by their mothers and fathers and the society we live in to be stoic. They stuff almost all of their feelings until them are taught by the women in their lives to open up. Some women do not like men who cry and this is sad. I tell all my men clients to choose a nurturing wife. Not codependent, just nurturing. Modern women would have men eating out of their hand if they were more loving and nurturing. Feminism is fine for politics. But at home women need to care for the emotions of their husbands like a little seedling. [/quote]

Is this the correct book that you are recommending? You have an audible version thumbnail in other threads that does not match with cover art for what I was able to find. I usually buy my books through a national chain which does not appear to sell his book even though they list it. In trying to find someone who does, even the apparent website of the author only directs you to Amazon. The length of the book makes me hesitant to just purchase it and see. Going through almost 500 pages of this stuff would be kind of hard for me to just do to begin with. I do not know if it is as you have described in your books that I am "afraid that they will cure me," I am worried it will not have my "answers," or that it will make things worse. There is also a 400 page workbook, but it seems to be written for "parents, professionals, and boys" and not a dysfunctional adult. All this is hard enough as it is without it feeling like I am being a cry baby for a lack of a better way of putting it and do not know if something like this would be considered maybe "inner-child work" or if this is not going to help an adult. I have never really done any kind of workbooks like this or exercises and I am trying to find some place to start. If anyone has a better suggestion that is more current, I am all ears as well.
