While I would be the last person to doubt that love is strange and can be mysterious, there is one thing that I know that is not a good idea. That would be dating or developing an otherwise intimate relationship with other people that are in recovery while you are recovering. The common wisdom among group therapists would be, "Two halves do not make a whole".
Consider this carefully. This advice was primarily given to people in groups for substance addictions. How much more should we take care, as Love Addicts, with stabilizing ourselves before attempting relationship? If you are not already in a committed relationship, consider a "Love Fast". Try it on for a day and see how it fits. There will be a place and time to break that fast, to be sure. I will show you another example of why this is true...
