Going to try something. I am going to talk to my husband about New Year's Resolutions. That we should start exercising together rather than separately. Suggest that we should cut back on the daily drinking. (I include me, even though I don't drink daily, and don't care that much about it). Maybe if I include him more in my daily activities and routines, he won't feel so isolated and turn to alcohol to feel his emptiness.
This is an excellent idea. I am proud of you. For more ideas about how to improve your marriage and really recommend the book by Harville Hendrix. It really helped with my partner. He also has weekend workshops.
