Higher Power

The "power" in the expression "Higher Power," is God, as we understand God. It is not the literature or the fellowship. Those are just tools for our Higher Power. The power that restores us to sanity is a spiritual entity that transforms us from addicts to healthy adults.

The power that saves us and leads us to recovery can be called anything you want. I call it the Holy Spirit which appears to me in my mind as a woman named Spirit.

During this season of various holidays, I hope you find a Higher Power to lift you from despair to hope. If you are lost, surrender and find your way home with the guidance of your Higher Power, using LAA, friends, and any other tool God has made available to you.
