All each of us really knows about parenting is what we experienced as children with our own parents....and what some of us learned from them was more about what not to do than about how to parent well.
We need to appreciate everything, positive and negative, we've received from our parents because of all it has in some way contributed to our own conscious efforts at this difficult business of loving.
