i'm trying hard to rebuild my self esteem altho' I have to admit is that I find it very difficult after all that I did with my POA.
the fact that i can't come clean with my husband often makes me feel very unworthy.
i've always been a humble person...and I'm very aware of my limitations. I know my place...
to whoever has changed my status... I don't know what that means exactly but it hurts...a lot

What always helps me, Greta, is remembering that I was built this way...I was built to make mistakes! God made us all this way: imperfect, prone to clumsy, bad behavior. And as long as we try to make amends (which you are doing every day!) and not repeat the same mistakes, how can we not forgive ourselves? The other thing is, I read this study years ago on successful people (corporate CEOs, self-made millionaires, actors etc.), which said that they are prone to forgive themselves very quickly; that if they do make a mistake, their natural tendency is to get back up as quickly as possible and right their wrong or simply keep working towards their goals. I thought that was fascinating. And here I was, beating myself up for the smallest mistakes when people like George Bush MISTAKENLY attack Iraq, killing thousands of innocent people, looking for weapons of mass destruction that didn't even exist. In the big scheme of things, your mistakes are small; consequential only if perpetuated or forgotten. Go easy on yourself and remember you are human. By the way, what do you mean when you say, "I know my place?"

I'm just hyper sensitive i suppose Telmita. I seem to have gone from 'senior member' status to 'God' in a matter of hours...and that's definitely not my place greta

Greta, it's probably a mistake. Ask Susan to change it. That is a little strange-- but again, probably just a mistake!

The user sexlessw also has the title of God. I'm not sure what that's all about.

I feel terrible having the title 'God' next to my name but there's nothing I can do about it. greta

Greta, I know someone that likes to announce himself as God, um, when I saw that I was thinking it was more who you lean on, not who you thought you were. You have been humble & helpful. Glad you got it cleared up.

I'm glad the glitch was sorted out. Thanks Susan.
Ironically, I don't care for titles at all - but 'God' was just too much for me to deal with.

I fixed the glitch. It was the highest ranking. It indicates that you have made 500 or more posts.
