I go to Celebrate Recovery once a week and we have a new teacher this year. We have teaching every other week and testimony every other week. The new teacher is not teaching really....he is more or less preaching. I am worried that it is going to run the newcomers off. As matter of fact...I know it is. I know that when I was new there I didn't want to hear preaching. I mean, honestly, I really don't know. I like to hear the teaching about the steps. That is what I go for. I go to church on Sunday and Wednesday to hear preaching. Has anyone else dealt with anything like this. Should I say something to the pastor that is in charge?

I reckon say something, yes.
Is he a recovering addict? If not maybe put it from that point of view... I find a lot of pastors like to preach but just need a nudge to understand that more horizontal ways of relating are better!!

I went to my group leader and she said something. I am not sure really if it made a difference because it is still the same ol same ol but we will see. I already know of two girls that are not coming back. I just hate it because he is a good man and truly means well. Just not really good with the whole teaching thing. So, we will just have to see what happens. I have done all I can do. I will continue to pray. Be Blessed, ~Dawn~
