I've been going to the SLAA website and now I've come here. I was wondering if someone could explain the difference between Sex and Love Addiction and Love Addiction. I'm really confused about the 2 and trying to figure out which site will best help me. I feel it would best for me to focus on one place for recovery rather than going from place to place to place. Thank you.

Hi Sirena-- It's a matter of personal preference, really. If you need to know if your a love addict there is a questionaire here laarecovery.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=lovetest&action=display&thread=279As for the difference between love addiction and sex addiction, well, if sex is what your addicted to then you may benefit more from SLAA. But if romance, love or the actual relationship to someone is what tends to create the addiction then stick with a Love Addiction site. The two can overlap, but here, at these forums, we really do not discuss sex addiction. Hope that helps. |
