By doing inner child work can we alter our core beliefs? I have some real negative old tapes in there that I have operated on for most of my life. I think today that those things are not true, yet when I try to live beyond them I get sad and fearful. I want to believe differently. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Professionals disagree on the ability of inner child work to change core beliefs. We don't really know. But anything that draws us away from negative thinking even for a time is good.

I agree. I guess I'll just continue to love and listen to the inner child w/0 expectations. AND, then work with my adult self in adult ways. I am having some luck with cognitive behavioral therapy to reframe some of those old tapes
Then prayer and meditation for the whole.
thanks for the picture.
