Well I guess I'm a board hog these last two days. LOL Oink Oink. Anyway. I've been angry today. I've always had a hard time dealing with anger. My sponsor gave me a few suggestions and I also read somewhere that fear is underneath the anger. I also heard that pain is under the anger too. Any suggestions how to unlock the truth within?

free, i have a few suggestions about dealing with anger. -is it justify anger? -you can also do a 4th step on what and why you are angry. -you can also say the "Serenity Prayer" -and i do this myself and it is suggested in 12 step meeting rooms, that if you will pray for good things to happen for whoever you are angry with, and pray everyday for 2 weeks, you will not longer be angry with this person. I know this might be difficult, but i have done this myself, and it works. -also my expectations can cause me to become angry. An expectation is pre-meditated resentment (angry). I hope this will help some, if not just get a pillow and beat the stuffing out of it. lol

The anger is how I feel. Not sure where it's coming from.

freetolive one of the things I do is just start breathing into and asking for clarity, and questioning where is it coming from. Its kind of like excavating your feelings. It is enough to know that it is anger and to get in touch with it in your body. Another technique like carolyn suggested is using a pillow to scream into but you want to find a short concise phrase like "i'm not going to take it anymore", or "no more" or leave me alone, there will be a sense of rightness when you hit the phrase that best suits how you feel. and then keep yelling the phrase. Good luck. Good for you feeling any emotion!
