Hi Folks,
Just wanted to let everyone know I will be visit the place of my birth with my two sons for the Easter week……Hollywood! So, I may not post often or be able to get back to your private messages in a timely fashion.
By the way, I thought it might be of interest to note that I am not vacationing with D. He is, instead, having Easter dinner with my family, and then flying to Florida to spend the holiday with his parents and his kids. When I tell people this, they immediately think something is wrong. Why on earth aren't you vacationing together? WHat's WRONG?
Nothing is wrong! We simply do not live our lives like Hollywood and romance novels would like you to think lives should be led. We live the way we would like, and sometimes, that means vacationing in other directions!
Not only that, but once you recover…and I mean, REALLY recover, you feel "safe" vacationing and being on your own, away from your spouse or partner (not because you need to get away from him, but because you recognize that you are your own unique individual, with or without someone in your life, and you, from time to time, desire to celebrate that….even if it means celebrating it alone.)
So…this trip is actually one in which I would really like to bond with my sons and enjoy something we used to do when it was "just us"-- travel!
I hope everyone here does something to celebrate their uniqueness or bonding with family or friends. Whether you can travel, or whether you just opt to stay home, do something you LOVE for no one else in the world but YOU!
