Within each person is an incredibly strong need to wrest a happy ending from even the most disastrous emotional alliances.
This need in a woman who loves too much can be dangerous, even life threatening. [/center]

YEEEEESSSSSS! Why do we DO that?
I'm starting to do things differently now little by little. I left a job this past summer that was just awful. I kept trying to make it a fit. It didn't fit. It only got worse.
But I was determined to leave with a clean slate and write a big report on WHY I was leaving and recommendations I would make (their request) to rectify the reasons I was leaving.
I ended up leaving 3 days early with no goodbyes and no report. It was a mess when I got there, and I left it the same mess. It was not my responsibility to clean it up. Or to make things nice because I quit.
You know, healthy people leave situations every day. And they don't feel that they have to make everything AOK when they do. They just leave.
