I was googling around, looking for help, when I ran across something called R-OCD or relationship OCD. From rocd.net/do-i-have-relationship-ocd/“People with ROCD tend to use phrases like I obsess about my girlfriend / boyfriend / partner because I fear that he/ she is not intelligent enough successful enough smart enough does not look good enough is not moral enough is not social enough is not funny enough is not emotionally stable enough Sounds Like Me Or I obsess about my girlfriend/boyfriend/partner because I am not sure he / she is the one I am not sure he / she is right for me I look at other man/ women I am attracted to other man / women I am not sure he / she loves me Sounds Like Me But not all the people who think such thoughts have ROCD !” Please note that this website specifies that only professionals can truly discern whether someone has R-OCD. But this is something that sounds a lot like me. I’m going to try to learn more about R-OCD, OCD in general, and look for a therapist who has experience with this (preferably a therapist who offers CBT.)

What did you find out? Is there a qualified therapist in your area?

I found a therapist who specializes in anxiety, who uses CBT. My first appointment isn’t for a month, though!
