This morning I realized it was just about two years ago, the last time I saw my mom up and walking around and talking to people. She and I had our last bookstore trip. I cried all the way to work.
Maybe that’s why I’ve been in such a bad emotional state for the past week or so. I took that trip to visit my parents in early August 2017.

Anniversaries are HARD lostkate. They really are. Emotions around them are usually tipped off by the seasons. You looked around, realized it was August, and the last time you spent quality time with your mother was - August two years ago.
That's okay to still grieve over her passing. Identify the feeling, go through it, and keep in mind - it will pass and you will always love your mom. That won't change.

I think that explains the weird anxious/depressed mood I had been in lately.
