Welcome
This message board was created in 2004 to help people recover from love addiction. At one time it belonged to Love Addicts Anonymous.
If you are addicted to love, or think you might be, this site contains a lot of information to help you. It also includes information about love addiction's underlying issues such as anxiety, depression and childhood wounds. Our focus is RECOVERY. This is a shift in consciousness regarding how we feel, behave, and think about love. Remember, romantic love is not enough to fulfill us. It is a temporary "fix" for our unresolved childhood trauma. In summary, we already know a lot about the problem. This board will focus on the solution.
Recovery starts when you finally admit to yourself that you have to change how you think, feel, and behave. You also have to give up outdated coping skills left over from childhood wounds and heal all the broken parts of yourself.
Since leaving LAA, I have begun using this board for all of my writings because this board will outlast me and even my website. All of my writings are about healing even my poetry. I date my own recovery back to 1982 when I arrived at my first 12-Step meeting.
