Decision

Reminder . . .

Change begins with a decision. I decided to turn my will and my life over to my Higher Power and miracles began to happen. Yesterday, I decided to be optimistic and today I am. I also feel better because of my decision. Sometimes . . . people get stuck when they have made their decision. When this happens "act as if" you are following the decision. As they say in AA, "Fake it till you make it."

When you make your decision, you untie your boat so it can float down a beautiful river to a great adventure. Sometimes, we worry we might be floating down the river to a waterfall. This is when our faith kicks in because we have turned our life and our will over to the care of God. He will not let you drown. At the same time, we might hit the rapids now and then. But they are always temporary.

Make a decision to enjoy your journey, despite everything that begs you to the do opposite. Life is too short to stay in a place of unhappiness. Life happens. It unfolds the way it will. This is what you cannot change. May you find the wisdom to change the parts you can.
