After a Breakup

Benjamin Franklin said, "God helps those who help themselves." God will give you the strength, but it is up to you not to pick up the phone.
1. Find a good activity to keep yourself busy.
2. Pray for strength.
3. Just say no to the voice that wants to connect with your qualifier.
4. Find someone to help that is in worse shape than you.
5. Go to an LAA meeting.
6. Go to any 12-Step meeting.
7. Call a friend.
8. Call your sponsor.
9. Clean your house.
10. Take a shower or bubble bath.
11. Have a good cry.
12. Go shopping but don't spend too much money.
13. Go to Starbucks and splurge.
14. Write in your journal about what you are feeling.
15. Talk about what you are feeling.
16. Feel what you are feeling.
17. Don't think about the past too much.
18. Think about how wonderful your life will be once you get through withdrawal.
19. Love yourself.
20, Take care of yourself.
21. Work the 12 steps of recovery.
22. Read a book.
23. Find a new hobby.
24. Be optimistic and hopeful.
25. Be grateful that you have gotten this far.
26. Share what you are learning with a friend, your sponsor, or a newcomer who needs help.
27. Count your blessings.
28. Look at the bright side.
29. Surrender everything to God or your Higher Power.
30. Act as if you are not obsessing.
31. Say, "I can do this," over and over again.
32. Keep praying.
33. Hang in there till bedtime.
34. Take a sleeping pill is you can't sleep.
35. Wake up in the morning and do this all over again.
36. Pick a recovery date.
37. Reward yourself every 24 hours.
38. Take note of every little bit of progress you make.
39. Give credit to your Higher Power for every bit of progress you make.
40. Love your inner child.
41. Join the rest of us one the "road of happy destiny."
