Twelve Spiritual Traditions
In 2014, God gave me a vision for LAA. It was meant to be a spiritual support group. Unfortunately, when certain people took charge a year ago, the meetings became all about psychology. Unfortunately, psychology is not enough. It is just tool given to us by our Higher Power. We need the willingness to change which comes from a spiritual awakening or shift in consciousness. Spiritual Traditions
1. Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends upon unity. 2. In our groups there is but one ultimate authority -- a loving God as He or She may appear to us. 3. The only requirement for membership in this program is the desire to recover. No one will ever be banned. 4. Each group should be autonomous. 5. Each group has but one primary purpose -- to carry its message to the love addict who still suffers. 6. This program will never endorse any outside entity, but it will offer resources and literature for love addicts in recovery. 7. These meetings will be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions. 8. We will always remain non-professional, but we may still employ special workers. 9. We will be organized, but only for the benefit of our members. 10. We will not have opinions on outside issues, but we will respect to the opinions of our members. 11. Anonymity is optional. If one of our members is working with the public, they may reveal their identity. 12. Spirituality in this meeting will be considered a relationship with a benevolent force in the universe in any form you imagine it to be.
