Limerence
I have noticed lately that professionals are starting to use the word "limerence" to mean love addiction. The book Love and Limerence by, Dorothy Tannen was written a long time ago. In her book Dorothy created the term limerence to describe romantic love. She studied romantic love scientifically and came to some interesting conclusions. She did not, at that time, associate it with obsession and love addiction. Today, the word has taken on a new meaning, and that is fine, but the problem with the word is that many people have to look it up in the dictionary, and the term love addict is self-explanatory.
