I was raised in a protestant church. They believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They believe in worship on Sundays. They blieve that Christ died for our sins and that in three days he was resurrected. In the 1600's a priest named Martin Luther wanted to reform the Catholic. Catholicism is half human and half divine. The human side was toxic back then, so Luther and his followers created what we call today the protestants with the above mentioned beliefs. The Catholics hold on to most of the original doctrines. The most important is the sacraments. The protestants have kept two, baptism and communion. The Catholics believe in seven. Baptism Confirmation Eucharist Ordination Marriage Anointing of the Sick Reconciliation (confession)
