Introduction
“For those who don’t believe, no explanation is possible. For those who do believe, no explanation is necessary.”
Song of Bernadette.
Most of my life I have been an agnostic and struggled to believe that God really existed. I believed in a creator, but I never felt the presence of God in my life. I just drifted along not even caring. By the time I was thirty two years old, I had been in and out of trouble and developed a drinking problem. I felt hopeless and in despair. When my father died I had a nervous breakdown and ended up in A.A. That is where I found God. It happened suddenly and was very overwhelming, but it changed my life forever. This is when the miracles started happening that I describe in this book. They all proved to me that God was real and working in our lives. By the way, a miracle is when something happens that is so wonderful that it can only be the grace of God working in our lives. The title of this book comes from a game I play with my adopted grandson Ryan Villarreal and his father Vince. Every week they come to visit me. While in the car together each of us tells a story about a miracle that has happened during the previous week. We each share our own personal God story. It is a lot of fun and makes us feel good. Interestingly enough, the more we share our God stories the more we have God stories to tell.
