Recovery Affirmations ▪ I am a good person despite my shortcomings. ▪ I am a good person despite my past mistakes. ▪ I am a good person most of the time. ▪ I take into consideration other people’s feelings. ▪ I am a good father. ▪ I am making progress in being a good husband. ▪ I am making progress in my recovery from romance addiction. ▪ I honor my new priorities. ▪ I value myself. ▪ I balance self-care with caring for my family ▪ I know God loves me. ▪ I am proud of myself for my newly acquired self-control. ▪ I am optimistic about the future in recovery. ▪ Life has its ups and downs, and I can accept this. ▪ I can accept what I cannot change. ▪ I can change all this is wrong in my life with help. ▪ I am so fortunate to have found my way to recovery. ▪ I am not perfect, but I am so much better than what I was. ▪ I am grateful for recovery. ▪ I want a relationship, but at the same time I am enough. ▪ I want romance, but I do not need it ▪ I can stand on my own two feet. ▪ I can balance loving myself with loving others.
