If your soul's lesson is to forgive, you must first experience the unforgivable. Otherwise, where is the lesson?
Bless and forgive and, at least in your heart, ask forgiveness from all the men ( and the women too) with whom you've fought and struggled with in the past.
When we forgive we give good for bad and we are finished with the lesson.
